Gray is challenging.
It starts to look blue, purple and even green.
It took me 3 stores and 4 trips to find the color I wanted.
(even this morning when i went to buy 5 gallons of gray,
I was sooo tempted to try just one more swatch.)
I wanted to go darker, but from my HGTV viewing,
I know that is not good for resale.
I also wanted a gray gray.
earlier this year my sister-in-law, laura, told me about this
awesome blog, http://www.younghouselove.com/.
i found that they had a going gray post
with advice on choosing a gray and
i took some tips from their post and i even
checked out the benjamin moore grays that they used,
but i wanted something more bold.
this is probably the most thought i have ever
put in to choosing a paint color. when we bought our house i chose
a swatch in the store, bought a can of paint on the
spot and went home to paint. did any of the colors turn out
like i expected? of course not. ;)
(honey, i am learning!)
